Sterling silver ring set with turquoise. This ring has a flat band and a horseshoe wrapped around the turquoise.
The horseshoe became a symbol of luck in the eightieth century when the Chaldeans thought its crescent shape represented various moon goddesses thus protecting against the curse of the evil eye.
